The summer tourist season has ended in the Caucasian Reserve

On October 31, all summer multi-day tourist routes are closed. The issuance of passes has been discontinued at all points of sale. On the routes, control over visiting the territory will be strengthened. The conservation process has begun in the shelters and camps of the reserve.

According to the press service of the reserve, the summer hiking season of 2022 turned out to be almost 2 weeks longer than last year. This is due to weather conditions in mountainous areas.

Now in the mountains of the reserve, night frosts are observed at an altitude of more than 1200 meters. In some areas, a small snow cover has already formed. In such conditions, it became unsafe to move along narrow mountain paths and passes.

If summer multi-day routes are closed, then one-day and excursion routes work all year round. Tourists of Adygea can get acquainted with the history and biodiversity of the Caucasian Reserve at any time in the eco-center "Guzeripl".

The Caucasian State Natural Biosphere Reserve is the largest in territory and the oldest, specially protected natural area in the North Caucasus. Located within three constituent entities of the Russian Federation - Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Adygea and the Karachay-Circassia Republic.

The reserve is located in the Western Caucasus, on the border of the temperate and subtropical climatic zones. It is the largest mountain-forest reserve in Europe. The total area of the reserve is over 280 thousand hectares.
