The pace of harvesting fruits and berries is increasing every day in the republic, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kabardino-Balkaria reports.
“To date, more than 100 thousand tons of various fruits have been harvested - apples, plums, pears, cherry plums, peaches. Now there is a massive harvest of mid-season apple varieties that cannot be stored for a long time. Almost all of the harvested crop is immediately loaded onto heavy trucks and sent to all corners of the Russian Federation, ”the message says.
In a few weeks, gardeners will start harvesting late varieties, this crop will go straight to the fruit storage.
In 2020, in Kabardino-Balkaria, all categories of agricultural producers collected a record harvest of fruits and berries - 517.3 thousand tons.
