Berlin demanded from Moscow to stop cyberattacks before the elections in Germany

The German authorities are confident that the hacker group Ghostwriter is acting at the direction of the Russian special service and sees in its cyber attacks an attempt to influence the outcome of the parliamentary elections in Germany.

"The German government has reliable information on the basis of which the actions of the Ghostwriter can be attributed to the operations of the Russian state, and specifically to the Russian military intelligence service GRU (Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Army.", - German Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrea Sasse  said at a government press conference on Monday, September 6 . She demanded that Russia immediately cease its operational cyber-subversive activities in Germany.
