Georgian athlete Lasha Talakhadze set a new world record in the weight category over 109 kg at the European Weightlifting Championships in Moscow.
In total Talakhadze showed the result of 485 kg (222 kg in the snatch + 263 kg in the clean and jerk).
The previous world record also belonged to the Georgian athlete (484; 220 kg in the snatch + 264 kg in the clean and jerk).
