The last decade has become the warmest in the history of meteorological observations. Comparing the indicators of recent years with data for previous decades, experts note a steady trend towards climate change towards warming.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said the data provided by meteorologists is "a stark reminder of the unrelenting pace of climate change that is destroying the lives and livelihoods of the planet."

“We are heading for a catastrophic 3-5 ° C rise in temperature this century. Peace with nature is the defining challenge of the 21st century and should be the highest priority for everyone,” Guterres emphasized.

Scientists have previously warned of the dangers of global warming and melting ice in the Arctic and Antarctic. Researchers at Cardiff University believe that another climate catastrophe could threaten the planet.
