Large-scale actions for the release of Navalny in Krasnodar Region (+ video)

On January 23, large-scale protests took place in Krasnodar Region in the Cauacasus of the Russian Federation, in the cities of: Krasnodar, Sochi, Novorossiysk, Anapa, Armavir, Gelendzhik, Yeisk. Thousands of people took part in the rallies, people demanded the resignation of Putin, the release of politician Alexei Navalny and all political prisoners,- "Voice of Kuban" reports .

The largest action took place in the city of Krasnodar, the ex-coordinator of Open Russia, Yana Antonova, estimated the number of people gathered in front of the regional administration building in the center of Krasnodar at 8 thousand people.

The protesters chanted slogans demanding the release of opposition politician Alexei Navalny and all other political prisoners, and also demanded the resignation of Putin. The police did not interfere in any way with the rally.

In Anapa and Novorossiysk, more than 1 thousand people came out, in Sochi more than 500, in Gelendzhik and Armavir about 300 people came out for the action. A series of single pickets took place in Yeisk, and there were no arrests.

Lawyer Alexander Popkov announced the arrests in Sochi. There were also reports from Anapa and Armavir about the arrests of protesters by the police. OVD-Info reports 39 detainees in Sochi and 2 in Armavir.
