New Federal territory "Sirius" has been created in the Russian Federation

December 22 - Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the federal territory "Sirius" in the Krasnodar Territory. The document is posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.

It is specified that Sirius will consist of independent public authorities. They will be entrusted with separate powers of federal and regional authorities, as well as powers of local self-government bodies.

The system of public authorities of the territory will consist of the Council of the federal territory "Sirius", the administration and other public authorities, if their formation is provided for by the charter of the territory, the council will be headed by the chairman, and the administration - by its head.

At the same time, the council of this federal territory will be formed for five years, consisting of 17 members. Nine of them will be elected in accordance with the electoral legislation, three will be appointed by the president of the country, three more by the government, and one by the governor of the Krasnodar Territory.

Earlier, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation supported the law on the federal territory "Sirius".

Recall that the urban-type settlement Sirius was created in Sochi in the Imereti lowland in February this year. In the area where the settlement appeared, there is a social infrastructure that was previously built for the wenter Olympic Games. It is planned that the settlement will become a new business and leisure center of Sochi and will attract new tourists.
