German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has repeatedly demanded a transparent investigation into the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. "For us it is certain that everything must be done to clarify what happened and bring those responsible to justice," he said on Tuesday, August 25, at a press conference in Athens.
Mas stressed that the Kremlin should be interested in clarifying the circumstances of the incident if it wants good relations with Germany and the European Union as a whole.
