In the last 4 months of this year, 1,401 children were born in the Republic of Adygea, which is 124 children more than in the same period last year. 1819 people died, which is 185 people less than in the same period last year.
Such data were announced yesterday during a meeting of the Head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov with the chief doctors of medical institutions of the republic. It was devoted to demography and the implementation of the national projects.
The head of Adygea recalled the importance of a comprehensive and systematic approach to solving the main tasks of saving the population and increasing life expectancy.
“Despite the fact that in the first four months of this year in Adygea fewer people died than in the same period of the past and more children were born than in that period, our mortality rate is still higher than the birth rate. It is necessary to reverse this trend, ” Murat Kumpilov said.
