China refused disarmament talks with Russia and the United States

China has no plans to participate in nuclear disarmament negotiations with Russia and the United States. This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Hua Chunying, Chinese media reported on Wednesday, June 10. According to her, China has repeatedly made it clear that "it does not intend to participate in the so-called trilateral arms control negotiations with the participation of Russia and the United States."

Beijing, Hua Chunying notes, suspects that in trying to drag China into negotiations, the White House “wants to shift responsibility to others” and distract attention from the fact that the United States has withdrawn from a number of international arms control agreements in recent years.
