An exhibition “Kabardino-Balkaria. The Path Through the centuries”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic have opened in the capital city Nalchik,- Information agency RIA Kabardino-Balkaria reports.
The exhibition presents ethnographic material from the funds of the national museum of the republic, which tells about the culture of the peoples of Kabardino-Balkaria - Circassians (Kabardians) and Balkars.
Within ten days, residents and guests of the republic will be able to get acquainted with documents and photographs on the history of the creation of the statehood of Kabardino-Balkaria, with skillful examples of ancient gold embroidery, clothing, elements of men's and women's costumes, cold weapons and horse harness. A special place among the exhibits is occupied by archeological items: bronze and stone items found on the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria.
As Felix Nakov, General Director of the National Museum noted at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the national identity of the peoples of the republic is preserved for future generations. And without any doubt, the culture of Kabardino-Balkaria is very beautiful and colorful.
