The Circassian activist Martin Kochasko from the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, who spoke his last word in court on Friday the 26th of this month, denied the drug charges against him and noted that his public activity was the reason for these allegations. The security forces invented the case unconvincingly and a shame for the law enforcement system he said. The public is confident in the innocence of the Circassian activist, Kochasko's supporters noted.
Among the public figures who came to support Kochasko were the head of the Coordinating Council of Circassian Public Organizations in Kabardino-Balkaria, Moayd Chechenov, the chairman of the Association of Victims of Political Oppression, Marks Shakhmorzov, the head of the Kabardino-Balkaria Human Rights Center, Valery Khatzhukov , The head of the Kabardinian Congress movement, Aslan Bishto, and others.
There were not enough seats in the courtroom for all the people who came to the court hearing, so some of Kochasoko's supporters were left out.
