Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the registration in Russia of the world's first vaccine against coronavirus. He stated this at a meeting with members of the government.

“As far as I know, a vaccine against a new coronavirus infection has been registered for the first time in the world this morning. I would like to thank everyone who worked on the new vaccine, this is a very important step for the whole world, ”the President said, adding that the vaccine is effective and capable of forming a stable immunity.

“We must organize the mass production of the vaccine so that everyone who wants can benefit from the achievements of our scientists. Vaccination against coronavirus in the Russian Federation should be carried out exclusively voluntarily, "the Russian leader noted.

According to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, the first vaccine against coronavirus registered in Russia has shown high efficiency and safety. The first to be vaccinated are medical workers and teachers: Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that doctors will receive the vaccine in September.

Putin also said that one of his daughters has already been vaccinated with the Russian coronavirus vaccine.

“One of my daughters got herself this shot. In this sense, she took part in the experiment. After the first injection, her temperature was 38 degrees, the next day, 37.5 degrees - that's all. After the second injection, the temperature rose slightly and subsided. Feels good. I know that many people have no manifestations at all. Everything is going on as if they hadn't done it at all, ”the president said.

The Russian coronavirus vaccine will go into civilian circulation on January 1, 2021, according to the registration certificate.
