Maria Lasitskene (Kuchina), a track and field athlete from Kabardino-Balkaria, has won the high jump competition at the final stage of the Diamond League, which was held in Zurich.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 10, Maria became the European champion in high jump with the result of 2.0 meters. The personal record of the native of Prokhladny, the second most important city of Kabardino-Balkaria, is 2.06 meters.
On May 12, Maria Lasitskene, who is performing in the status of a neutral athlete, won the second stage of the Diamond League held in Shanghai.
Today, at the competitions in Switzerland Maria Lasitskene conquered the height of 1.97 meters, defeating the Ukrainian Yulia Levchenko (1.94 meters) and the German Marie-Lawrence Jungfleisch (1.90), the TASS reports.
It is also noted that Maria failed to cope with the height of 2.0 meters.
