Athlete from Kabardino-Balkari wins World Jiu-Jitsu Championship


In the final fight of the world ACBJJ championship, Alan Kankulov, an athlete from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), was the winner in the weight category of up to 75 kilograms. The silver medal in the category of up to 85 kilograms went to Arsen Shalov, another KBR's fighter.
The World Jiu-Jitsu Championship according to the MMA Russian promoter's version Absolute Championship Berkut (ACBJJ) was held in Moscow on July 12-14.
In December 2016, Alan Kankulov won the gold medal of the Russian Jiu-Jitsu Championship as a member of the Moscow Region team, says the website of the Moscow Regional Government.
On May 5, athletes from Dagestan Abdulbari Cuseinov and Ruslan Abdulaev won gold medals at the International Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Tournament.
